Cyber Bullying

Schools have been issued with new guidelines from the government regarding safe internet use. We will be holding a “Safer Internet day” in school on Tuesday 10th February to promote safeguarding when using I.T.

Badminton coaching

Year 5 and 6 have the benefit of an experienced badminton coach coming in after school to show them the various techniques involved with serving and playing the game. Mr Ross Ayre the coach and Mr Mosey our new sports apprentice were available to help and advise.

Mathletics 12th to 18th January

We have another gold award this week, Jayden in Year 4 will be our 12th gold award for the school. The highest score was from Abigale in Year 2 with 4150 points and Year 3 have  topped the table as a class with 9,159 points, well done to all.

Odds and Evens

Year one popped out today to do a little maths work combined with their topic “There’s no place like home.” Walking up and down one of our local roads armed with clipboards they recorded the house numbers as they worked they spotted something, “The houses on the left hand side of the road are all odd numbers and the ones on the right are even” said Lily. Some of the children were also able to read three digit numbers accurately. They certainly looked a little windswept but happy about their trip out when they got back to school.
