Mathletics week commencing 22nd September

Tuesday, 30 September 2014

Fantastic news this week; we have our first pupil who has achieved their second gold award, this means that Aaron in Year 4 has worked hard to gain 1000+ points over a 40 week timespan. I think this represents a huge commitment to improving his maths skills.

Declaration of war: PM Neville Chamberlain announces Britain is at war
Transcript of announcement
I am speaking to you from the Cabinet Room of 10 Downing Street. This morning the British Ambassador in Berlin handed the German government a final note, stating that unless we heard from them – by 11 o’clock – that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us.  I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received and that, consequently, this country is at war with Germany.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Friday, 26 September 2014

Parents came along to the coffee morning in the school hall for a chat and a cake, and our pupils purchased cakes at break time (we thought breaking our healthy eating rule for a very good cause was ok).

Mathletics wc the 8th September

Tuesday, 16 September 2014

We’ve started the new term with a bit of a bang, this week we had another two pupils awarded gold and a total of 32 certificates will be handed out this week together with all the ones gained over the summer. All the login details were issued again recently just in case any had been forgotten. We are really looking for all our children to spend some time every week using this resource. It has some very good help and information pages as well as the live gaming and our set homework tasks.

A fabulous summer of Mathletics!

Tuesday, 16 September 2014

I have just printed off all the certificates that our children were awarded for their hard work on Mathletics, it was a real pleasure to see that even during the summer they thought about keeping up with some school work too. Well done!

We had two gold awards over the summer this was to Aaron in Year 4 and Zain in Year 2… Brilliant!

Five A Side Football Trophy

Tuesday, 16 September 2014

On Saturday 6th September, five of our Year 2 and 3 boys played against several teams from Nuneaton in a five a side tournament. Liam, Jack, Brody, Haydn and Matthew were presented with a cup at the end of the tournament for the “NB Respect Under 8’s fair Play Award”. They all played in different positions and played with a fabulous sporting attitude.
Our school training sessions for year 2 and 3 pupils are every Sunday starting at 10.30am. Please come along if you are interested.
