Science in Year 6

Monday, 12 February 2018

In our science lessons, we have been learning about evolution and inheritance. We wanted to put Charles Darwin’s finches theory to the test. An experiment was conducted to test which type of beak was the most successful when trying to gather food and how this lead to adaptation.

Nursery Visit the Snow Mouse at Warwick Arts Centre

Wednesday, 20 December 2017

The Nursery children have spent a charming morning at the theatre. We went to see the Snow Mouse. As we arrived we were asked to take our shoes off and then we headed into a snowy wonderland.

The children, staff and parents got comfy on cushions and waited for the mouse and his human friend to entertain us. All of the children were transfixed as they watched the snowy adventure develop. Watching the children laugh and seeing their eyes sparkle was truly magical.
The children have been recounting the tale and sharing their experiences. One child commented on the part he enjoyed most: “the funny bit when it snored asleep”.
The children’s behaviour was exemplary and made us all proud.
Thank you so much to all the parents and volunteers that joined us.

Peace and Reconcilliation

Friday, 24 November 2017

Year 6 assembly today was enjoyed by all the lower school pupils. This term’s topic – WW2 has generated a variety of work that will feature later this afternoon for parents – songs, science and sculpture to name just a few.

Parents will have an amazing assembly to look forward to.
