A quiet week but with the warmer weather perhaps understandable that being outside is more attractive. Highest score last week was from Moyo in Year 2, with the highest score for a class coming from Year 3 with 8,840.

Tennis Tournament

Thursday, 18 June 2015

On Wednesday 17th of June, eight of our budding tennis stars from KS2 took part in a tournament at Polesworth High School.
Four schools took part and the children all played three games each. They all faced some tough opposition but played with determination and above all great sportsmanship. Out of a total of twenty four games played we won 6, drew 4 and lost 14.
Well done to all who took part.

Year 5-6 Football against Newdigate

Tuesday, 16 June 2015

On the 11th of June Year 5/6 played at home against Newdigate Primary School. Wheelwright Lane played well as a team, all trying their best. Harvey played the first half in goal and then swapped with Jamie at half time.

They did a sterling job but we lost 5-1, it was 10 minutes into the second half when Rajvier who was playing his first game scored. When we meet again, I know they will do their best to win.
