Year 2 bringing bar charts to life outside in the playground, finding out which fruit the class liked best.

Year 6 Lego WeDo and Scratch2

Wednesday, 8 February 2017

We made a goalkeeper using Lego Wedo and Scratch 2. The motor is attached to the white lego brick on the back of the goalie making him move from post to post.
Shaw and Taylor.

We used timers to make our legs kick forwards and backwards. Then we experimented with sound. We chose a ‘boing’ sound. We are looking forward to going home as we have chosen to make a goal and ball so that our legs can kick the ball into the goal.

Poetry from Year 6

Tuesday, 28 April 2015

Year 6 have been working hard for some time now to build up their literary writing skills. This week -when they were asked to produce a piece of free verse based on the Ikea (t-shirt birds) advert – they more than stepped up to the challenge. Mrs Essex was thrilled and impressed (as were we all) with the standard of the work they produced. These three, free verse pieces shown here, are fantastic examples. Well done Year 6! Click on the links below to read their work. then on their name in the window that opens.
